Telecom XT Network outage

Monday December 14th NZDT 12:40
The Telecom XT Network have experienced an unplanned outage, which has resulted in no network coverage south of Taupo since early this morning. Affects all Voice, SMS and Data services.

As a result, users in these regions have no service on the XT Network. The issue has now been identified, and work has commenced to restore services in these areas.

Vodafone Outage appears to have been resolved 7:55am

Our connection with Vodafone has been up and stable for the last 30 minutes so it would appear they have resolved the issue.

Vodafone NZ Outage

Vodafone NZ have had a major outage within their SMS SMPP systems this morning, so we are currently unable to send or receive SMS messages on their network.

Vodafone is aware of the issue and are working to resolve it ASAP.

Omniscience and SMS Outage Resolved

This outage ended at about 4:00pm today,

Thank you for your patience while we worked through the gateway 
and database issue today.

We are now back up and running.

The issue was caused by a database error that created a massive 
slowdown on our primary gateway. Unfortunately, as we mirror the 
working environment on our back up systems, the slowdown also 
became evident on our secondary system, and was exacerbated by 
a database limitation. 

We were forced to shut down the system in order to isolate and 
resolve the error on both primary and backup systems, before being 
able to bring the system(s) back online.  We are confident this 
error will not re-occur in the future.

Again, we sincerely apologise for this unforeseen outage, and 

for the inconvenience caused, and thank you all for your patience.

Omnisciences and SMS Outage

Monday 2nd November 11:00a.m.

We are experiencing issues with our SMS services and our Omniscience System, our systems administrators are working to resolve these issues, apologies for any inconvenience.

Upstream Provider Outage

Our upstream internet provider had a major outage this morning between 4:40am and 6:15am.  This affected a number of our servers in Auckland and international connections into all of our servers.

Unscheduled outage: Polynomial - Linux Shared Host

We have just had an unscheduled outage on one of our shared Linux hosts, Polynomial.  We are investigating the cause of this outage.

Unscheduled outage: Virtual Machine Host

This afternoon between 4:50pm and 5:10pm we experienced an unscheduled outage to one of our virtual hosts.  Only those customers with virtual host servers on the host in question where affected.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused by this outage.

Network Outage - UPDATED

We are currently experiencing a problem with network connectivity which is affecting access to servers in both our Wellington and Auckland data centres.

Our upstream providers have been notified and are working to resolve the problems. At present we have no firm ETA for a fix but will update this message as soon as we have more information.

The network problems have been fixed by our upstream providers as of 15:20 this afternoon.

Mobile Gateway Services - Scheduled Outage

Scheduled Outage - Tonight between 9pm and 1am, all mobile gateway services will be unavailable.

This is due to essential upgrade of our primary gateway server software, which will take approx 4 hours. Incoming messages will be queued at the carrier and delivered after the outage concludes.
